Basic Sewing 102 (Part 1 & 2)
Sewing 102 is delivered in two (2) parts:
Class Description: Now that you are familiar with your machine and its benefits, we will take your sewing skills/refresh to the next level!
In this class, you will learn the following:
Part 1 –
Sewing Linings
Learning the technique & benefits of under-stitching, top stitching and why should we zigzag (or serge) to finish our garments
Sewing basic Hems – Serge/Zig Zag & Sew Hems and/or Fold-over Hems
Specialty sewing techniques – Flat-Felled Seams
Part 2 –
Sewing Project for Part 2: How to Sew a Wine Bottle Holder or how to sew a cross body handbag with linings
Date & Time: See options; Duration will be a total of Four (4) hours; classes are broken down to 2-hour Classes (includes a small break); two consecutive classes scheduled at your own pace & calendar

Location: In person classes in 2 locations:

Class Cost: $75 each Class
Prerequisite: N/A
Specific Material List:
Sewing Machine (including any tools that come with your machine)
Sewing Machine Manual (if you do not have a printed-out copy, please be prepared to bring a downloaded version)

Bobbins for your Machine (note: always check the package of bobbins when purchasing to ensure that your sewing machine model appears for usage)
Universal Pressor Foot (usually it’s included with your sewing machine when purchased)
Machine Needles per your machine; both single & double needles (note: always check the package of needles when purchasing to ensure that your sewing machine model appears for usage)
Sewing Machine Toolbox – (Note: Supply Kits are available at The Sewing Station Learning Center Online Boutique):
Hand Stitch Needles
Scissors for cutting fabric
Snippers for cutting threads
Seam ripper
Tape measure and/or ruler
Straight Pins (25)
Fabrics -
For Part 1: Any scrap fabric will do
For Part 2: two different types of Fat Quarters or bring their own fabric
